bullet About Us
Club History
Founded in 1983, RCRC is a grassroots club created and maintained by the volunteer efforts of its members. Its members include both sweep rowers and individual scullers, competitive and recreational. The men and women master's teams are competitive programs for experienced rowers, which train and compete throughout the year. The club also has a competitive juniors program, novice masters team and a recreational masters team. Each fall RCRC hosts a 5700-meter headrace and many other rowing-related and social activities. Practices are held from the RCRC boathouse at the Port of Sacramento in West Sacramento. This spacious body of water, also home to U.C. Davis crew, is excellent for rowing. It offers well-protected water, centrally located to residents of Sacramento and Davis.
