Angela graduated from Sacramento State with a BS in Biochemistry. A lifelong athlete, it wasn't until college that she discovered rowing. Angela started rowing in her freshman year of college when her best friend convinced her to cox for the Sacramento State men’s club team. It only took one practice for her to absolutely fall in love with the team dynamic and the sport. After a year of coxing for the men’s team, Angela wanted more and walked onto the women’s rowing team as a novice rower. 

After a year on a novice, she decided to join the varsity team, this time going back to coxswain. She was coxswain for the V8 for the next three years. For Angela's last year, she won the award for second team All-Conference in the American Athletic Conference. Once her collegiate rowing career came to an end, Angela realized she still wanted to be a part of the rowing community and become a coach.

Grayson started rowing at Capital Crew in high school from the 10th-12th grade. He was named Oarsman of the Year, and he and his teammates qualified for the 4+ Youth Nationals in Sarasota, where they finished in the top ten in the nation. After high school,

Grayson continued rowing at the University of California, San Diego. Grayson's first two years at UCSD were marked by 1st place finishes at our annual San Diego City Championship and WIRAs and Western Sprints in the JV8+. His team also qualified their top three-eights for IRAs in both years, where all boats saw record placements. COVID, unfortunately, cut his third year at university short, but in his senior year, his team reclaimed the success it saw earlier. They dominated Western Sprints, and the JV8+ saw a historic best 16th-place finish at the IRAs.

Grayson came back to the Sacramento area after graduating, where he's excited to pass on my knowledge of rowing to others, hoping to achieve success.

Sophie graduated from UC Davis in 2023 with degrees in Ecology and Wildlife Biology. As a freshman looking to try something new, she joined the rowing team and quickly fell in love with the sport. She was a four year member of the team and held leadership roles as an upperclassman.

Her rowing highlights include a National grand finals finish in the V8+ in 2022, a Regional Championship win in the 2- in 2023, and four years of making lifelong friends through the rowing community. She has been assistant coaching at UCD since the fall and is excited to get more involved with RCRC! When she's not on the water, Sophie works in the entomology department at UCD.

Maisey is from Orangevale, CA, and graduated from UC Davis in 2023 with a degree in Environmental Science and Management. As a freshman, she joined the rowing team and quickly fell in love with the team and the sport. She was a four-year team member and served as Fundraiser and Travel Coordinator in her junior and senior years, respectively.

Despite losing her first two racing seasons to COVID, her rowing highlights include a National Grand Finals finish in the V8+ in 2022 and a Regional Championship win in the 2- in 2023. Rowing has allowed her to make lifelong friends through the UCD team and rowing community. Maisey is also an assistant coach for the UCD women’s rowing team.
