River City Rowing Junior Crew is a competitive program geared toward athletes looking for something that will challenge them both in sports and in life. RCRC offers teens (14-18yr) a safe environment in which fitness, self-discipline, teamwork and camaraderie are emphasized. RCRC trains from early September through early May, competing against more than 35 other junior rowing programs in the Southwest region. RCRC competes in regional and national events, including the USRowing Southwest Youth Championship, to qualify for the USRowing Youth National Championship regatta.

Our squads - Youth Men, Youth Women, U/16 Novice Men, and U16/Novice Women - generally have 16 - 32 athletes each. We take pride in the abilities of our professional coaches to provide a positive, challenging, inclusive, and instructive environment for each team member.

Athletes new to rowing can start by joining the Junior Novice Team anytime from September through February or signing up for a Learn to Row Class in the summer.
