Competitive RowinG for 9th - 12th grades
River City Juniors
River City Rowing Junior Crew is a competitive program geared toward athletes looking for something that will challenge them both in sport and in life. RCRC offers teens (14-18yr) a safe environment in which fitness, self-discipline, teamwork and camaraderie are emphasized. RCRC trains from late August through mid-May, competing against more than 35 other junior rowing programs in the Southwest District. RCRC competes in regional as well as national events including the USRowing Southwest Youth Championship, to qualify for USRowing Youth National Championship regatta.
Our squads - Varsity Men, Varsity Women, and Novice Men & Women - generally have 16 - 32 athletes each. We embrace the quality of our coaching and this athlete-coach ratio is conducive to the specific attention and coaching our team of coaches strives to give each athlete.
Athletes new to rowing can start by joining the Junior Novice Team anytime September through January, or signing up for a Summer Learn to Row Class.
