River City Rowing Junior Crew is a competitive program geared toward athletes looking for something that will challenge them both in sport and in life. RCRC offers teens (14-18yr) a safe environment in which fitness, self-discipline, teamwork and camaraderie are emphasized. RCRC trains from early September through early May, competing against more than 35 other junior rowing programs in the Southwest region. RCRC competes in regional as well as national events including the USRowing Southwest Youth Championship, to qualify for the USRowing Youth National Championship regatta.
Our squads - Varsity Men, Varsity Women, Novice Men, and Novice Women - generally have 16 - 32 athletes each. We take pride in the abilities of our professional coaches to provide a positive, challenging, inclusive and instructive environment for each member of their team.

Athletes new to rowing can start by joining the Junior Novice Team anytime September through February, or signing up for a Learn to Row Class in the summer.
